New Mexico DA Files murder charges against 2 officers in the death of James Boyd

In a follow up to a previous article, the New Mexico DA has now bypassed the grand jury process which has been used both in the Michael Brown death and the Eric Garner death, and has filed murder charges against two of the officers in the death of James Boyd.

Albuquerque police officers Keith Sandy and Dominique Perez have both been charged. Their will be a open to the public hearing at a preliminary hearing….which will definitely be interesting to say the least.

James Boyd was accused of illegally camping in a New Mexico park and was asked to leave. After a almost 3 hour “chat”, he finally agreed to leave before being flashed banged, shot and had the police dog sicced on him. He later died.

Hopefully things go right in this case. These officers should be taken off of the street and put in jail.

Concur. Ditto. ‘Bad’ cops need to be prosecuted to the full extent of the law. It will only have a positive impact on how law enforcement is viewed by those they serve. They are there to ‘serve and protect’ they are not supposed to be out to ‘seek and get’. I would say there seems to be something going awry with the way officers are trained these days. Perhaps someone should be looking into the ‘training’ practices and what these officers are being taught.
